Philanthropy

NNP Residential's philanthropic mission strongly supports organizations that nurture growth and achievement in the communities in which its residents live, focusing on helping children in need and promoting educational opportunities. Recent examples of NNP Residential's charitable activities include:

  • Spearheading the development of a new, permanent home for Chicago Youth Programs, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk inner-city youth through tutoring, recreational, mentoring and after-school programs. NNP donated land acquisition, design, development and financing services for CYP’s new Richard T. Zaleski Center for Children and Youth, recently opened on Chicago’s South Side.
  • Introducing Chicago public school students to the real estate business as a part of the Ogden Elementary School Mentor Program. Each year these students are mentored by NNP Residential executives, gaining exposure to the real estate design and development processes through first-hand experience.
  • Organizing regular fund-raisers at apartment communities managed by NNP Residential for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Chicago Cares, Cubs Care and Bottomless Closet.

Many other philanthropic organizations receive support from NNP Residential, including:

  • Art Institute of Chicago
  • Children Affected by AIDS Association (CAAF)
  • Children’s Memorial Hospital
  • Chicago Symphony Orchestral Association
  • Greater Chicago Food Depository
  • Museum of Contemporary Art
